Riley's POV
It's the fact that he dared to pretend like he had no idea what he had done. It's the fact that he walked into this house like he was expecting everything to be back to the way he left it. The playful banter. The flirting talks. The skipping of heartbeats, the erratic heartbeat. I did not like it. It irked me that he was behaving like everything was normal. There was nothing normal about this situation. There was nothing about this that could be called normal. Nothing at all.
"Get out of my way," I growled.
"Hey, we can just take a moment to talk about this. I'm sorry for everything…"
"It's not just okay if you apologise!" I said in a shrill voice.
Ash had the audacity to wince. Yeah, let's add that to the annoying list of things I had against him at the moment.
