Chapter 45

Riley's POV 

I woke up feeling refreshed and even if I knew it would be highly impossible, I stretched to see if Ash was sleeping next to me. And turns out he wasn't. I took in my dress and noticed once more that he had gone out of his way to clean me up and also change my clothes. No wonder I was feeling so comfortable.

I moved to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. After that, I moved towards the kitchen where I knew that lovely scent of scrambled eggs was coming from. 

"I thought you didn't know how to cook?" I asked him.

"I don't. I had to call my mum for a step-by-step process on how to make this and even with that, half a crate is gone." He told me.

I chuckled. "How about I take over? Although it smells lovely."

"Forget the lovely scent. I'm scared of the taste." He told me seriously.

"I'm still here, Ash." I heard a voice I recognised as Angela's, Ash's mother coming from his phone.

"And you have to go now
