Ash's POV

When Riley said she had something in mind, I was not expecting it to be this.

I stared at her in shock. 

"You want me to read a novel with you?" I asked her.

"It's not like you've never shown an interest in my novels." She replied to me.

I have shown interest but that was about three years ago and there was no way I was expecting her to remember. 

"Who remembers that their ex wanted to read their novel even after three years?" I asked her.

She threw her head back and gave a hearty laugh. 

"I remember it very well. Now stop behaving like some macho man who doesn't get turned on by the idea of reading his girl's novel and take a pick." She told me.

She placed numerous paperback novels on the table. They were fucking numerous.

"That's huge," I told her, pointing to the novels on the table.
