Chapter 52

Ash's POV

I had the feeling something had happened with Riley but she wasn't telling me anything apart from the fact that she needed to speak with her mother. 

I reluctantly let her go. And it's not like anything I would have said would stop her from going to her mother. I did not like the woman, especially after finding out that she wanted to extort money from her daughter. 

I had two days before the deadline for the product we were designing in the company. God knows that I'm not going to take anything with a very close deadline next time even if the benefits were extremely good. This was a headache and I wanted to spend more time with Riley

I could only send a few texts to Riley even if I wanted nothing more than to call her. I had to understand her though. It seemed like the talk with her mother was something that she had to do. 

Knowing that she was focused on that, I placed all my attention on my work. Blake worked together with me
