Chapter 62. Teary Eyes

All the way home from the LAPD office to JC's house, Anna's tears kept flowing. She thought about everything John said about JC's post-brain surgery condition. 

"Anna, stop crying. What makes you so sad? You can tell me," Max comforted, caressing Anna's head. He also felt sad about JC's condition, but he was a man, so he didn't always deserve to cry. 

Anna turned to look at Max with teary eyes. "I'm just worried about Jason, Max. As long as Jason isn't awake, I can't calm down," Anna replied. 

JC's Land Rover, driven by Brad, arrived in front of JC's house. Anna's sister was sitting on the porch chair, waiting for their return. Then Jocelyn stood waiting for Anna to leave the car with Max. Anna ran to hug her sister while sobbing. She seemed to be at a loss for words amidst all the mixed emotions in her heart.
