Chapter 56. The Eccentric Old Woman

As the sunlight streamed in, a sleeping Benjamin jolted awake. His eyes, filled with panic, quickly turned to look beside him.

But Isabella was nowhere to be found, leaving the spot beside him empty. Rubbing his eyes and lightly slapping his face, Benjamin couldn't be sure if the previous night's events were actual or just a dream. However, as he lay in Isabella's bed, it seemed more likely that it had happened.

Still, Benjamin couldn't shake a strange feeling in his heart. The Isabella he had encountered last night was almost unrecognizable. Even if she was drunk, could she have been so bold?

What on earth is going on?

The more Benjamin thought about it, the more suspicious he became. However, he only dwelled on it briefly and quickly gathered his belongings, hastily leaving Isabella's room.

"Sorry you haven't been waiting too long for me?"
