Chapter 14. Mother and Daughter Talk

"Yes, of course, dear one. She would snatch the transmitter from me anyhow if I didn't. Haha!" 

"Haha! Father, stop teasing mother," Edwina knew her mother was an easy target for her father's teases. He would always poke fun at her whenever he got a chance.

"Oh, my darling daughter," Edwina's mother's dramatic tone reached over to her hearing the next instant. Edwina felt her emotion swell up again.

"Mother!" she called out with a bitter smile. Edwina wished she could share this joyous moment with her mother.

"I'm so glad, darling. All these while I've been worried that you might..."

" No, what's more important is that you wolfed out at last. I'm so happy for you darling...".

"I know, Mother. I never really thought I'd..." Edwina was emotional once again.

"Daughter..." Edwina's mother called out to her in her sweet mature voice. Unable to progress further, she became short of words.
