Chapter 44. Misconceptions and Confusions

Allison was carrying Noah inside the car with Grayson. She’s having mixed emotions – excitement, sadness, worriedness, and on top of that it’s been four years since she last saw Brenda, they don’t even communicate so as not to risk her location.

“You look like you’re not in your best state ever since we came here. Is there a problem?” Grayson asked, worriedly.

Allison just shrugged and kissed Noah’s forehead, “I’m just nervous for the opening tomorrow,” she replied. Ever since they came home yesterday, she just stayed in a hotel with Noah and just decided to fix things about the opening before going back home to stay with Brenda.

“Maybe I just missed mom. Instead of coming back home straight to her, I had to make sure that the opening of the shop would be successful tomorrow. I’m just nervous, you know…” Grayson did not buy her reason, “Allison, we’ve been together for four years, You’re never nervous in your meetings with such huge companies and now you’re nervous
