Chapter 58. Happy New Year

Allison was alone in her unit. She was just lying on the sofa. She even forgot to eat lunch and dinner. She had no appetite as if she was lazy to even move.

Brenda called her asking if she was okay and telling her that Noah missed her already. She said she was just busy these past few days. She didn’t know how many times she had lied to her.

Her tears fell again with no warning. Then she was sobbing again. It was like the pain in her heart couldn't be erased anymore. That it would stay in her heart forever.

She forced herself to stand up. It was New Year's Eve and in just a couple of hours, she would say hi to another year. She should celebrate instead of hiding in her unit but she had no strength to even smile.

She also didn’t know how many times she wiped her tears away. As if they were unlimited and there was no way that it would stop.

She went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. She drank it all. She was surprised when her phone sudden
