Chapter 59. Not Ready

"Leave. I don't want to see you again. Please leave, now." Those were the most painful words Brent heard from her.

As he walked away from her, it kept going through his mind, and seeing her cry made him want to hug and comfort her. He wanted to tell her that he loved her and all the dreams he had for them. Whatever she heard was just a mere lie.

But he didn't have any other choice because if they kept going, they would only get hurt more.

When he walked out of the restaurant, he couldn't stop his knees from shaking and shivering because of what had happened. Jacob came to help him get back on his feet.

"Fuck! Seeing you, I already sensed what you did!" Jacob said angrily to him while Brent was gripping his arm tightly.

"Go inside. She's still there. She needs you more than I do," Brent begged him. Jacob removed Brent's hand that was holding him and punched the tree in the side. Brent lost his balanc
