Chapter 24

Elisa’s POV

Lying on my bed, I stared at the ceiling for several minutes now. My head was really hurting from those damn flashes! Emily had called Hugo and I didn’t refuse since I really needed him right now. He also arrived quickly when he knew that I was not well. I jumped from joy knowing that he wanted to stay with me tonight. I am so happy!

“Why are you smiling?” asked the doctor near me.

Because I was thinking of you.

“It’s nothing,” I lied.

He sits on my bed and gently caresses my cheek as I shiver. “You scared me, Elisa. I was really worried.”

“Don’t worry, I just had flashes, that’s all.”

He nods his head as he continues to caress my cheek. “Did you remember anything?”

“No, not really,” I whispered.

“When did these flashes start?”

“Well, the first time Emily had said a name while arguing with Andrew was when I had flashes. Then Andrew said another name and I had flashes again.”
