Elisa’s POV

“Doctor! How is my sister? Will she make it out? Is she okay?” I question him before he cuts me off with a wave of his hand.

“Are you part of the family?” he asked me.

“Yes! I’m Elisa Scott, her sister!”

“Okay, come with me.”

I turn to Hugo, who moves for me to go. I follow the doctor to his office, biting my nails. Is her condition stable? Is she out of danger? Will she make it out? Several questions race through my head as I walk into the office. The doctor gestures for me to sit down, which I do without hesitation, and he also sits down in his chair.

“I think you must have known that your sister was stabbed so…”

“What?!” I can’t stop screaming, which startles the doctor.

What is he talking about? I didn’t know Emily was stabbed since Hugo wouldn’t tell me, that jerk! Why didn’t he tell me?

“Given your reaction, I deduce that you were not aware,” said the doctor adjusting his glasses.
