Chapter 36
"Are you a poet now?" You're corny!" I exclaimed, turning to face him.
I pinched his cheek when he added, "You're the reason I'm getting corny."
"You're acting so corny today." "What did you eat?"
He shook his head and smiled. "You've forgiven me because that's why I'm this way," he replied, making me grin.
"Because I can't stand you." I hugged it closely.
"That's why I love you." My mouth twitched in response to what he said. Oh, I'm overjoyed!
"I'm ready to be corny for you because I adore you."
His remarks appeared to warm my heart. What I hear from him makes my heart sing.
"I love you, too," I replied, hugging him fiercely.
"I hate to break this moment, but..." I pulled away from the hug.
"Why?"
"I'm sorry, but we need to return to Manila," he added, and I nodded.
We must, of course, return. We can't live here forever. We really need to go back because he has a job and a business.
