Chapter 12. Loyal
I woke up in a room far more grand than what I remembered my place was in the Omega House.
A crystal chandelier was hanging on the ceiling, contrasting yet complimenting the dark colors in the room.
I surveyed the area slowly, seeking for someone the moment I opened my eyes.
But when I saw no one was around, I slumped my head back to the bed.
He’s not here.
I sighed and stared up at the carved ceiling, flashes of what happened last night came into mind.
The way he touched and comforted me suggested things that were totally opposite of his threat on me. Even the dread of having to experience the same nightmare again was nowhere near my mind because it was filled with all of him. He said things last night that contradicted what he told me the last time we had a conversation. He didn’t want to sever our bond. But he didn’t tell me to not keep it a secret anymore either.
What does he really want? What is his purpose for this?
