Chapter 43. Method

My heart jumped for a second. I waited for them to confront me, seeing how they were still looking. They were the same people I saw watching me as I talked with Nathan from time to time during breaks.

I stayed there standing, waiting. But they suddenly walked away, whispering at each other as they went.

I stood there for a while, not knowing how else to react to that.

Did they really just see me and Titus? Had they seen everything?

Are we going to let everyone know we’re mates?

I put my palm on my forehead and closed my eyes for a while. Should I even be worried about this? Does Titus want people to know now? What about Lana?

Heaving a deep breath, I put my hand down on my side and just chose to walk back to my house and lock the doors.

I finished and started walking towards the quarters. The sky was getting darker by the second. I bet everyone is preparing for dinner now.
