Chapter 40. Invited for a Dinner

Jane tossed and turned in her sleep. Her phone kept ringing and she wondered why she could not just have a nap in peace without her phone disturbing and buzzing with calls and messages.

She could not wait to round up this contract and go back home even though it was something she had wished for all her life. The first thing she would do immediately she travelled back is to lie on her bed and sleep for long hours. She missed her bed. This one was not giving her any peace.

“Hello?” she spoke into the phone with a hoarse voice.
