Chapter 76. Finding Justice

The nurse was running some checkups on Jane while Isabella was seated on a chair beside the bed. The door opened slowly and Jane lifted her head to see Dave walk in through the door. She quickly looked away but Dave had caught her eyes for a split second. He smiled a little.

“Hi everyone,” he greeted cheerfully.

“Hey Dace, you are here,” Isabella smiled at him. He walked in fully and stood beside Isabella.

“I was cheerful enough to greet everyone yet only Isabella was kind enough to respond,” he said with a playful smile.

“I am so sorry sir. I was carried away,” the nurse, who was rounding up her job and putting her tools away, said, smiling a little. “Good day sir.”

“Well yours is understandable so I forgive you,” Dave said, his eyes on Jane who kept looking away. He was intentionally trying to get to her. Isabella understood what he was doing and pinched him lightly on the hand.

“Ouch,” he exclaimed dramatically, holding on tenderly to the part
