Chapter 4. Rising Tensions and Intentions
Jane drove to work after spending some time with Isabella. A car sped pass her and she eyed the already gone driver. Her spirits had gone low and she was not going to take it lightly with anyone that stepped on her toes.
Her bag was dropped carelessly beside her in the car, the contents almost pouring out. She gripped the wheel tightly and pursed her lips.
The thought came again and she tried to wave it off. Why had Isabella mentioned him anyway? She was doing very well not thinking about him before now but it only took just a casual mention of his name in just one statement to drag thoughts of him back.
She would never admit her feelings for Dave. She was not even sure exactly what she feels for him but whatever it was must end beneath her heart. He was not her type. And besides, it was only in movies and fiction books that a lady falls in love with the friend of her friend’s lover. Such things don’t happen in reality so she would not fall for it.
