Chapter 11. Recent Discoveries
Mr. Sinclair paced around in the living room slowly with a glass of wine in his hand. He would stop at intervals and twist his lips in thoughts, then continue moving.
Mrs. Sinclair walked into the room and stood behind the couch. She observed him for a while.
“Sinclair, are you okay?” she asked but he did not even acknowledge her presence.
“Sinclair?” She called his name more loudly this time and he stopped to glare at her.
“I asked if you are okay?” she repeated when she had gotten his attention. “You have been pacing around for so long. What bothers you?”
“It’s nothing you need to know,” he waved her away.
“But why? I mean, if there is something bothering you, you should be able to tell me,” she tried to persist.
“Woman let me be, please. I said you do not need to know about it.” Sinclair said with a note of finality in his voice. She sighed and walked back to the room.
