Max POV

She thought he had died? Max was speechless.

"As you can see for yourself, I'm not dead. What gave you the impression that I was dead anyway?" He asked impatiently.

"I couldn't find you no matter how hard I tried. It felt as if you disappeared off the face of the Earth." Pandora replied unconvincingly.

He decided to let her be.

"Pandora, you shouldn't have bothered trying to take revenge.

Your life is in danger." He tried to warn her but she averted her eyes from his.

As he tried to step closer to her, he glimpsed his wife from the corner of his eyes and instantly left Pandora's side to meet his wife on her wheelchair.

She looked at him sharply, "Who was that?"

"Uh! Just an old friend I ran into." He replied her nervously scratching his neck. Oh Lord! Why did she have to come out now? he thought wryly.

"Let's say hi to your old friend then." She said glumly placing emphasis on 'old friend'.
