Chapter 67

Asper’s POV

Six months.

It has been that long since I went back to our ancestral house in the Axia Region. And it is also since then when I almost died at the hands of a man that I don’t even know what needs to me.

My whole body was already healed. I got back my strength and I don’t feel any pain anymore around my body. My head still hurts from time to time but it is bearable.

I am physically fine after all the therapy, medicines, and counseling. But emotionally and mentally, I don’t think so.

Because of what happened that night, I developed a fear of dark places. I always scream and break things whenever I am in a dark or dim place. That is why my family decided to leave all the lights in our ancestral house open to ensure that I would still be able to walk around the house.

This is their way to ensure that I will not lock myself inside my room. They fear that I might do something to myself if they left me alone.

Aside from that, Dad also a
