Asper’s POV
“Marry me—aw!” I glared at him because he bit my fingers. “What was that for?”
“You keep stealing my lines, baby girl,” he said. “I should be the one saying those to you, you know.”
I rolled my eyes. “Just because I am a woman, I don’t have the right to ask you to marry me,” I rebutted. “I believe that men and women are equal. Women can do what men can do.”
“I know that.” He pulled me closer and hugged me. “But there is no harm being a gentleman, you know. So, please let me do my part.”
“But you are slow.” I pouted. “If I don’t initiate for us, nothing will surely happen.”
“I am not slow, baby girl.” He kissed my forehead. “I just want you to enjoy the moment of us being in a relationship because marriage is far different from this. It is not always sweet and good moments. It is a constant roller coaster and I don’t want you to enter that sacred moment of our lives without preparation.”
