She felt more insecure knowing that the woman was Eunice. This was the woman Kara said had the hots for Luke. She couldn’t believe that her husband wasn’t interested in her. She was sophisticated and very pretty. Any man would find her attractive.

“Are you even sure that he didn’t like her? You heard that from Kara not Luke,” a part of her said.

She bit the inside of her bottom lip. Maybe Reed’s sister said that so she won’t think anything bad if she saw them together.

“Where is Luke?” Eunice asked Beth, totally ignoring her.

“He left for the office a few minutes ago, Miss Eunice.”

She frowned,” That’s a bit strange. It’s too early. He usually leaves around 8:30 right? It’s only half past seven,” she added but Beth didn’t reply.

Isabelle’s brow creased. The woman knew her husband’s schedule so well. Was that a red flag already?
