Chapter 13. Tensions Spark

“So you can do to Maeve what you did to Tasha? Hell no! Not while I’m here, Grant. I wouldn’t let you ruin my other daughter’s life!”

The atmosphere was really tense, and Grant kept quiet for a few seconds to let the uncertainty hang in the air before he turned to Maeve.

“Princess, hey. How are you? You know Daddy missed you, yeah?”
