Hadley, Ella, and their mother were locked in a dark room by their father, with no way out. Hadley looked at her sister, who was in pain, and barely hanging on, and she hated herself for not telling Maurice about her father's plot.

He would have prevented this from happening, but she was too stupid to grooved that her father was not the monster he was.

“Are you okay, Ella? Are they in pain?” Hadley asked an obvious question, but Ella just chuckled. “I don't think that we should worry about me because I feared that any of us would be able to escape from here.” Ella said.

“No, we would be able to escape, believe me, okay?” Hadley assured, but she knew she was the one that needed that assurance.

“But how? Did you think we can..” Ella was saying, but she broke into tears. “Why are you crying, Ella? Can you not handle the pain?” Her mother asked, and Hadley got worried.
