Lily’s sitting on the couch, all giggly, chatting with Theo, who just walked in like he didn’t just spend the last hour glued to his mate. And me? My damn brain’s on a whole rollercoaster. I keep thinking about Damon… his dumb, cocky face. Goddess, I miss that asshole, but I also wanna punch him right between the eyes the second I see him. He’s supposed to be here, apologizing like a decent mate, but no, the jerk pretended like I didn’t even exist.

I push myself up off the couch with a big ol’ sigh, the dramatic type, just to make sure Lily and Theo notice I’m not feeling all sunshine and rainbows.

“I’m gonna go outside,” I mumble, already halfway to the door while they’re still over there laughing about some stupid pictures of their mates. Must be nice to have your life figured out.

I step out onto the porch, lean against the wall, and let out this long-ass sigh. I’m so fucking bored I could scream. Everyone’s off somewhere cuddled up with their m
