We finally pull up in front of this old-ass building, and Damon slams the brakes as the car jerks forward. I don’t waste a damn second. I swing the door open, step out into the freezing night, and hold Aria tighter against me. She’s still knocked out cold, not even a flinch.
Mark’s car comes to a screeching stop right behind us, and before his engine even dies, he’s already climbing out. I glance up at the place and, fuck, it’s worse than I thought. The whole building looks like it’s been rotting for years… falling apart, windows cracked, paint peeling, the whole creepy-ass vibe that makes your skin itch. The street’s dead quiet, no lights, no people, just that kind of weird silence that makes your gut twist. If this ain’t a trap, it sure as hell looks like one.
I shoot a look at Mark. “This the place?”
