Audrey checked her phone again and hissed in annoyance. She was expecting to see his call, but it was just a message. She groaned and threw the phone on the bed while Maxie kept staring at her like she had gone crazy.
“See, he refused to call, all because I said you needed my attention. He is so unbelievable; I can’t believe he is jealous of his own baby,” she said to Maxie, as if the baby understood what she was saying.
“He is so annoying and pathetic. I mean, he didn’t even call to ask if I was home already or not. I hate that guy,” Audrey screamed.
Her door opened, and her mom walked in.
“You are disturbing the peace of this house, woman,” Mrs. Logan said.
“Everyone is annoying, Mum. That jerk hasn’t called for days at all because I said I will come home. How can a father be jealous of his own son? I hate him,” she said.
