"Just kidding," I told Samer when he got upset with what I said. But it seems like he intends to maintain his sulking because he no longer responded to me. "Sam, it was just a joke." I repeated my earlier statement several times. "I just mentioned what I remembered back then," I said.

"But did you really have to keep repeating that I got beaten up by your ex?" Finally, Samer responded, still angry.

"I only said it once," I complained because I didn't really keep repeating it. "Those were happy memories," I said.

"Happy memories for you when I got beaten up?"

"Not that you got beaten up, but that you kissed me back then. It was the first time we did that," I reminded him.

"Well, I guess you're right. And I think I need to repeat that since I seem to have forgotten how to do it," Samer said to me.

"Ugh, I'm always available, but you're always busy with your ex," I reminded him.

"But nothing happened between Kate and me, Jamie," Samer stated.
