Chapter 68. The Only Way

James’ POV

Since Ellie had insisted she would meet with my dad alone, I had no choice but to wait anxiously for my father’s arrival.

I didn’t know what plans my father had, but knowing Ellie, she wasn’t an easy nut to Crack.

After a while of waiting earnestly, my father returned from his meeting with Ellie.

“Welcome, Dad; how did it go?” I asked eagerly. I could no longer wait to hear in detail all that he discussed with Ellie.

“Pretty Good, not as bad as I thought,” he said, taking a seat on one of the couches.

“What did you discuss with her?” I asked curiously, waiting for him to fill me in on all of their discussions.

“Nothing out of the ordinary, I simply just made a deal with her, and I am sure she wouldn’t turn down my offer,” my dad responded confidently.

“And what is that supposed to mean, Dad? Can you just talk to me? I am dying to know what is going on,” I said.

“I simply asked her to throw the case in, I mean, i
