"Everyone got soup except for me?" Mera exclaimed as we embarked on our now-regular morning run.
"I heard some noises coming from inside your cabin, and I was not about to walk into that situation," I explained, glancing around cautiously.
"No, really. It was a rough night for Kaan and Mera," I added, observing her laughter ease up. "You could have joined us, doll," she suggested, smiling and winking mischievously.
"You could not handle me," I joked, raising an eyebrow.
"Lexcis needs to step his game up before we become a throuple," she teased, playfully nudging my arm.
"Done for today?" I asked her with a sneer. I would inquire when I start to feel tired. I think she is happy.
"I thought you would never stop," she replied, catching her breath.
A grin crossed my face as I said, "As I said, you cannot handle me." With that, I strolled back to my house.
