"Are you crazy?!" he asks with a big smile, his eyes sparkling. "Yes! You deserve better, though."

"Just once, I need to ask you. 'Are you going to be my Laurence?'"

We both laugh, and he playfully nudges me. "Can I have more than one mood?"

"Sure. You may have two."

"Deal."

"Deal. You are now officially second in charge." I extend my hand. "This is my right hand. 'I believe in you.'"

He grasps my hand firmly, understanding the significance. "I will not let you down, your highness."

"No, no. 'Please do not use that.'"

"Laurence does it."

I lean in a little and motion for him to do the same thing, but this time in public. When the two of them are alone, he swears at him too.
