"Until the end," she says, before he grabs her away from me. They shove me back to my knees as soon as she is out of sight. I could easily beat them off, but they've tied my wrists and legs together; I doubt Chantel noticed.

I shout her name and implore her to come back. Telling her she doesn't have to leave and that we'll figure something out is pointless.

I stand up, propelled by an unknown force. I shove aside the guards and break the bonds. I ran towards her. I go after her, but she has already left.
