Chapter 358. Cooking Talk

He utters, "Chantel, this is unbelievable," his eyes widening in astonishment.

"Yeah? You like it?" I let out a breath of relief, watching his expression closely, "I hadn't tried it, so I was a tiny bit scared."

"It's phenomenal. Darling, you are seriously amazing," he praises, admiration evident in his tone.

I smile and watch as Lexcis eats all the other things. He takes a slice of toasted bread and puts some of my tomato mixture on top of it. He drinks some soup and even eats the croissants.

"Why aren't you eating?" I inquire, raising an eyebrow playfully.

"I was too busy watching you," he admits with a smirk, his eyes sparkling.

He rolls his eyes, handing me one of my filled buns. He's right. It does taste great. Not to say so myself, but I'm quite a good cook.
