"Can I talk now?" Chantel nervously twirled a lock of hair between her fingers.

"Yeah. Definitely. You should." She shifted uncomfortably in her seat, her heart pounding with anticipation. Isn't that supposed to stop once you're together? Fuck together, we're married.

"You made me paint?" Lexcis raised an eyebrow, his tone a mix of surprise and amusement.

"Yes," Chantel confirmed, her voice barely above a whisper.

"And you think I wouldn't use it?" Lexcis's lips curled into a smirk.

"I mean you-" Chantel started, but Lexcis cut her off.

"Yes or no answers only."

"Okay, yes." Chantel relented, feeling a rush of nervous energy.

He shook his head, "You're crazy. Absolutely mad. You fucking made me paint? Who even does that?" He chuckled in amazement, shaking his head incredulously. "I'
