"I can stay?" She offers, her features morphing into a sweet smile.

"No. I don't want you to worry about any of these things. You have enough things on your mind as it is."

"You have a lot of things on your mind too, but you're still here."

"I have to. I'm the King."

"And I'm the Queen, am I not?"

She chuckles, nodding. "Yes, your Majesty."

"And I'm the Queen, am I not?" I chuckled, pulling her to my chest. "Yes, you are. And I want my queen to rest and have fun today. Then tonight, I will lay beside her, hug her, whisper sweet words into her ear, and then I'll share her dreams with her."

She gave me a soft smile, kissed me again, and then stepped out of the door. I hated seeing her walk away from me, even if it was just for now. The thought that this could be the last time I ever saw her freaked me out.
