The tone in her voice told me enough. She was referring to her sister. It was painful to hear because she sounded genuinely saddened by it. It wasn't much of a surprise. Her brother wouldn't need to d**g her if she didn't care about it.
"I suppose you do know that Torryn is d****ing you and that's why you're saying this?" I said, voicing what I knew.
She nodded solemnly. "Yes, and I have to thank you for bringing that to my attention. Though, I believe my brother has his reasons. He would never purposefully harm me."
I chuckled in disbelief. "Now that's naive."
"Why? Is there something you know but aren't sharing with me? If so, I would—" Her voice trailed off, curiosity and concern mixed in her expression.
"Like to know now before I do something I might regret," I finished her sentence for her, raising an eyebrow. That certainly got a reaction out of her. She smirked and frowned at the same time, a conflicted expression playin
