When we left the room, I noted that we were the only ones still here. Besides our Seconds of course. "That took you two long enough," Aldric sighs.

"They were sleeping," Laurence states matter-of-factly.

I'm not surprised he knows. The man can't read a room but he can read any given person like a damn book.

"Sleeping as in-"

"No, you horny fucker. Really sleeping," he cuts Aldric off to correct him.

"Sorry," Chantel apologizes to them. "I was just a tad bit tired."

"No problem my queen," Sunshine nods at her. "Let's go now."

They step out first, protecting us from any oncoming danger that we might not spot.

I can already hear the people laughing, dancing, and singing. Chantel seems anything but excited about joining that crowd.

Good thing I have something planned for her.
