My mind is solely focused on getting to her as fast as possible. So much so that I can't even hear the screams coming from a woman nearby. I only process that sound when I find the carriage to be vacant.

She made me a gift with the two most important people to me. My family.

I can't help the smile on my face when I put it in my pocket. Only to be reminded that I retrieved it from the ground. Chantel wouldn't leave this here, and she certainly wouldn't lose something like this.

The screams of the woman are becoming louder. Initially, I believed that those screams were of pleasure or perhaps joy. But now they
