Lexcis just hums, he's clearly not that impressed. It makes me chuckle but I try to hide it from him. He notices anyway and subtly pokes my side, it only results in me laughing more.

"Oh! Emperor! Empress! Welcome, we've been waiting for you," a sweet lady says, attracting our attention to the left, where she's standing behind a desk. "Are you looking for your family?"

"Yes!" I almost scream but then turn my excitement somewhat down, "Yes, we are."

"Lord and Lady Ambrose are residing in room 16, second floor," she continues when she sees our frown, "Your daughter is staying with them."

She doesn't have to say anything else. Both Lexcis and I surge up the stairs like an aggressive wave in the ocean. "13, 14, 15, 1-16!" I knock on the door like a psychopath only to enter without even waiting on their answer.
