Chapter 125. Human Determination

Hunter’s POV

I didn’t know that the Krent pack truly cared for their members like this—no, it must have been this particular group in the pack. I thought they only saw the other wolves as sacrificial pawns, but I was wrong.

Darf, a stupid Lycan I had killed back during the summit meeting, was actually causing such an uproar amongst his pack members? Was he truly that important to them? This Lucius character wanted to kill me just because I defeated Darf.

I didn’t understand it. I was still getting into understanding the concept of friendship and other relationships. I thought I understood camaraderie, but it vexed me that these beasts had a better grip on it than I did.

Holly wasn’t happy at all to hear Lucius’s threat towards me.

“You want to kill Hunter for that? Your pack member was probably a murderer. I can’t even begin to imagine how many humans he killed!”

Hearing this from Holly didn’t move Lucius at all; he still had a smile on his
