Chapter 52

Claire’s POV

I saw the shocked look on Cole’s face when he saw me with Mom.

“Claire, what are you doing here?” He asked.

“Don’t think that I’m here because I care, Mom just forced me to come with her,” I said, and rolled my eyes at him. Cole didn’t say anything, as I looked at the ICU where Marjorie was in, pain etched into my heart. If it’s not Marjorie who’s in there then it was supposed to be me.

“Why does Marjorie want to kill?” I asked Cole. I’m being emotional because what if I got really hit by her car. Will I just be in the ICU as well or worst, in the morgue?

“I don’t know either,” Cole said.

“Does she hate me that much? Just because of the flowers I sent on your wedding day,” I asked.

“To be honest, I didn’t like what you did but I know that you’re hurt by what I did so I let it pass. But I don’t think Marjorie would want to kill you just because of that, she’ll probably do something but not to the extent of wanting you dead
