Chapter 59

Luke’s POV

Well, she is right. We were just going to sleep, and because she insisted, I went back to my bed. As I closed the lights went to the other side of the bed I slowly fell asleep due to tiredness and alcohol in my system, not long ago after I fell asleep I heard Claire’s crying again. I panicked seeing her in this state again, so I woke her up.

“What is wrong?” I asked her.

“Just dreaming,” she sniffed.

“What about it?” I asked curiously.

“I just dream about losing my dad,” she said, and that made me feel sad for her. I realized how much she loved her father and that losing him would really hurt her.

“Calm down, Claire. It isn’t true. You are just dreaming,” I said. “Come here,” I let her sleep in my arms to comfort her. We stayed like this for a while, cuddling, until we fell asleep.

THE NEXT MORNING

I woke up earlier than Claire, and she was hugging me while she was still comfortably sleeping beside
