Claire’s POV

“You probably miss your family especially your dad,” he said.

“Yes, I can go home now,” I said.

“I told you, I’m not leaving Italy without you,” he chuckled. “By the way, I made a reservation for our lunch,” he added.

I prepared for our lunch date. I wore a white simple dress. While we were waiting for what we ordered, Luke suddenly stood up and went behind me, I was confused for a while until he put a necklace on my neck.

“When did you buy this?” I asked him.

“At a jewelry store in Rome,” he smiled at me.

“Thank you, it’s beautiful,” I said as I admire the necklace on my neck.

“But not as beautiful as you,” he chuckled when he realized how clever that was.

We talked about the wonders of Italy until our topic went about our relationship. “Did you know I never thought of giving up on us?” he said.

“Really? Despite how much I pushed you away?” I asked and he nodded.
