Chapter 117

Claire’s POV

Luke’s parents finally arrived. Luke’s mom hugged my mom, and his dad went to my father’s casket. I saw the sadness in their eyes. I let them talk to my mom first, while I talk to some of the people especially our family members.

We were all comforting each other when someone uninvited arrived. She draws attention from everyone inside the funeral. I looked at her dressed in all black, she was alone. I looked inside the room to find Cole, his eyes went wide when he saw his mother.

He quickly went to grab his mom’s arms to pull her outside, but his mom shouted at him.

“Am I not allowed to mourn the death of my son’s father?” She glared at him. Wow, she acted like she really cares. Everyone was looking at her already.

“Mom, please leave,” Cole said to his mom, but she acted like she didn’t hear anything, she continued walking towards my dad but my mom stopped her.
