Chapter 119
Claire’s POV
Luke and I arrived holding hands like we’re teenagers who are so in love with each other. I went to my dad’s casket to see him for the last time, I felt sadness all over me again. I’m going to miss him so bad.
I stayed there with him for almost ten minutes, just looking at him. He looked peaceful, as if he was just sleeping.
Dad, I’m in a good hands now, you don’t need to worry about the company and our family. We’re all okay, we will take care of Mom. I felt sad for you won’t be able to see your grandchildren grow, but don’t worry we’ll make sure they know you.
I didn’t realized my tears were falling already, but I started to accept this new reality of our family. Dad may be gone, but he’s forever in our heart.
The mass was about to start so I sat next to my mom. She was crying again, I know she’s going to miss my dad so much. Despite the misunderstanding and troubles Dad caused when he was younger, I’m happy that Mom was still able
