Claire’s POV
“It’s fine. I have some spare clothes with me,” she managed to still smile at us.
“I’m so sorry, Maureen,” Caleb said, apologizing.
“You should make it up to her,” I said, trying my best not to smile for my brother.
Caleb looked at the woman whose name was Maureen, “Ah—yes, I’ll make it up to you, I’m so sorry for the mess,” he said, worriedly.
“It’s fine, Mr. Caleb. I know it wasn’t your intention, I completely understand that it’s an accident,” Maureen said.
“Just call me, Caleb, and I insist on making it up to you. Do you want to grab a coffee later?” I was cheering for my brother in my head as he said those words.
“Yeah, sure. I can grab some coffee with you later,” Maureen said.
“That’s great, so let’s meet at 5pm in the lobby?” Caleb smiled at her.
“Okay,” Maureen smiled at him. I know my brother is acting cool but deep inside he’s celebrating.
