Claire’s POV
“It’s already 11 in the evening. Let’s just pray Gina didn’t get the 60% of the company tonight,” he said.
“Why didn’t you tell me earlier?” I asked.
“Your dad knew about the possibility of what could happen tonight, but he didn’t know who it was. If I had known earlier, I still couldn’t have persuaded the stockholders not to sell their part of the company,” he explained. “I just received the information about who’s behind this right when we were having our dinner, Claire,” he explained.
“I need to tell Caleb,” I said hurriedly.
“Calm down, Claire,” he said as he grabbed my wrist.
“How can I calm down if the company my father built might not be ours by tomorrow?” I said, tears streaming down my face.
