Chapter 93

Luke’s POV

I made sure I looked presentable, thinking I would probably see Claire there. I know I shouldn’t get my hopes up but I wanted to expect something.

As I entered the restaurant, I looked for Clara, the woman on the phone with me last night. Am I in the right place? I asked myself as I didn’t find them inside the restaurant, but I waited instead of leaving the place. I even ordered my own lunch while I was waiting for them to arrive.

It was almost ten minutes, am I waiting for nothing? did I expect a help from a complete stranger?

I was getting disappointed until the door of the restaurant opened and a group of girls entered. I immediately looked for Clara, and there I found her, walking beside Belle, the woman who I assume knows me.

I hurriedly finished the food on my plate, and I waited for the right time to get near Belle. Good thing a few of her friends went out, leaving belle with Clara, that’s when I took my chance.
