Kira’s POV

Training Ground.

The sun is warm on my back as I kneel in the training yard, tying the worn straps of my gloves. For the past few weeks, I’ve been training every morning since Valerie took me under her wing. It still feels strange sometimes, having someone actually care if I get better… if I’m okay.

Valerie says I have potential though most of the pack doesn’t see it. They just see the tiny girl who is just lucky to be hiding under the shadow of her brothers. And I hated it because I don’t want to be only tagged as Caelan but as a warrior too. But to make matters worse, I’m just a weak omega.

“Keep your hands higher,” Valerie reminds me, circling as I throw another punch at the training bag. “You drop them again, and anyone could get through your guard.”
